Today marks the start of the Latin American tour featuring pianist Elena Bashkirova, violinist Michael Barenboim, clarinetist Pablo Barragán, and cellist Astrig Siranossian.
They will kick off the tour in Sao Paulo and, in Brazil, will also visit Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre. They will repeat the program on April 15 in Santiago, Chile, and the tour will conclude on April 17 in Lima. The program includes Mozart's Trio K. 98, Beethoven's Gassenhauer, and Bartók's Contrasts Trio.
