Benjamin Bernheim adds a new award to his collection: the prestigious Opus Klassik Prize. The winners of Germany’s most important classical music award were announced today, following the Opus Klassik press conference. The French tenor has been honored with the “Male Singer of the Year” award for his latest album Douce France, recorded with pianist Carrie-Ann Matheson and released under the Deutsche Grammophon label.
This season, Bernheim has performed on some of the world’s most renowned stages, including The Metropolitan Opera (Les contes d'Hoffmann), Le Théâtre des Champs-Elysées (Werther), and Opéra National de Paris (Manon), as well as in recital at Los Angeles Opera, Wiener Konzerthaus, and Tokyo’s Suntory Hall, among others.
Congrats Benjamin!
