Javier Perianes will perform Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat Major, Op. 73, "Emperor," at the prestigious National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing on November 14, with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid, resident orchestra of the Teatro Real.
This will be the orchestra's first-ever performance in China and will be conducted by Maestro Gustavo Gimeno, the new Music Director of the Teatro Real.
In addition to Perianes's performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, the program will include Manuel de Falla's El amor brujo and Igor Stravinsky's Firebird Suite.
