Jan Antem (Barcelona, 1998) was awarded with the Best Young Singer award at the Ópera XXI Awards 2025 and named Most Promising Young Artist at the Ópera Actual Awards, establishing himself as one of the most promising emerging voices in today’s operatic scene.
He has started a fruitful career that has taken him to stages such as the Arena di Verona (Dancairo in Carmen and Schaunard in La bohème), the Teatro Regio di Torino (Schaunard in La bohème), the Deutsche Oper Berlin (Don Alvaro in Il viaggio a Reims), the Teatro Massimo di Palermo (Count Robinson in Il Matrimonio segreto), the Teatro Regio di Parma (Il matrimonio segreto) and at the Musika Música Festival in Bilbao, performing in the opera The Telephone by Gian Carlo Menotti.
He has had the honour of being conducted by masters such as Fabio Luisi, Marco Armiliato, Andrea Battistoni, and Frédéric Chaslin.
Highlights of the 2025/26 season will include his debuts as Don Giovanni at the Teatro de la Maestranza (Sevilla), Escamillo in Carmen at the Oviedo Opera, and Ping in Turandot at Les Arts (Valencia). Additionally, he will return to the Liceu to perform Belcore in L’elisir d’amore. In the symphonic field, he will sing Haydn’s Nelson Mass with the Orquesta del Principado de Asturias and Beethoven’s Mass in C Major with the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid. He will also present recitals at the Teatro de la Zarzuela and L’Auditori in Barcelona.

Jan studied at prestigious academies and opera studios including the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro, the Accademia del Belcanto in Martina Franca, the Opera Studio of Tenerife, and the Escuela de Ópera de Sabadell — all of which have been fundamental pillars in shaping his solid and growing career.
