Jan Antem has started a fruitful career that has taken him to stages such as the Arena di Verona (Dancaïre in Carmen and Schaunard in La bohème), Gran Teatre del Liceu (Dancaïre in Carmen and Belcore in L’elisir d’amore), Teatro Regio di Torino (Schaunard in La bohème), Teatro Comunale di Bologna (Belcore in L’elisir d’amore), Teatro Lirico di Cagliari and Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari (Schaunard in La bohème), Deutsche Oper Berlin (Don Álvaro in Il viaggio a Reims), Palau de les Arts de Valencia (Ping in Turandot), Teatro Massimo di Palermo (Conde Robinson in Il matrimonio segreto), Teatro Regio di Parma (Il matrimonio segreto), Teatro de la Maestranza (Don Giovanni in Don Giovanni), Ópera de Oviedo (Escamillo in Carmen) and the Perelada and Musika Música festivals, performing in the opera The Telephone by Gian Carlo Menotti.
He had the honour of being conducted by Daniel Oren, Fabio Luisi, Sir Mark Elder, Marco Armiliato, Andrea Battistoni, Frédéric Chaslin and Francesco-Ivan Ciampa.
Recently, he debuted in Latin America as Silvio in Pagliacci at Teatro Municipal de Lima. Highlights of the 2026/27 season will include his debuts at the Teatro Real in Madrid with La Gioconda and as Papageno in Die Zauberflöte at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. He will also return to the Ópera de Tenerife as Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro.
In the symphonic field, he will sing Händel’s Messiah with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Fauré’s Requiem with the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra, among others.
Mentored by leading figures such as Luca Salsi and Davide Luciano, he has taken masterclasses with renowned artists including Juan Diego Flórez, Mariella Devia, Carlos Álvarez, Ernesto Palacio, and Raúl Giménez.
Jan studied at prestigious academies and opera studios including the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro, the Accademia del Belcanto in Martina Franca, the Opera Studio of Tenerife, and the Escuela de Ópera de Sabadell — all of which have been fundamental pillars in shaping his solid and growing career.
