Jan Antem

A performer with "ease as an actor and precise diction" (El País) and capable of finding, with his singing, "light in the shade" (Opera Traveller).

Jan Antem is a lyric baritone born in Barcelona in 1998. Trained with renowned singers such as Luca Salsi and Davide Luciano, he has participated in masterclasses with Juan Diego Flórez, Mariella Devia, Ernesto Palacio, Raúl Giménez, and Carlos Álvarez.

After continuing his studies in important academies and opera studios such as the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro, the Accademia del Belcanto in Martina Franca, the Opera Studio of Tenerife, and the Escuela de Ópera de Sabadell, he has started a fruitful career that has taken him to stages such as the Arena di Verona (Dancairo in Carmen), the Teatro Regio di Torino (Schaunard in La bohème), the Deutsche Oper Berlin (Don Alvaro in Il viaggio a Reims), or the Teatro Massimo di Palermo (Count Robinson in Il Matrimonio segreto). He has had the honor of being conducted by masters such as Fabio Luisi, Marco Armiliato, Andrea Battistoni, or Frédéric Chaslin.

Recently, he made his debut at the Teatro Regio di Parma with Il matrimonio segreto and at the Musika Música Festival in Bilbao, interpreting the opera The Telephone by Gian Carlo Menotti.

In the future, Jan Antem will make his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu as Dancairo in Carmen, at the Castell de Perelada Festival in The Telephone by Menotti, at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna as Belcore in L'elisir d'amore, and at the Athens Opera in the role of Dandini in La Cenerentola.
