13th April 2026

Ibermúsica Artists is delighted to announce the appointment of the internationally acclaimed soprano Emőke Baráth for General Management.

A leading figure on today’s baroque and classical music scene, Emőke Baráth first drew international attention after winning top prizes at several prestigious competitions, including First Prize at the Cesti Competition in Innsbruck, the Grand Prix de l’Académie du Verbier Festival, and the Junior Prima Primissima Award in Hungary. Her career gained decisive momentum following her widely praised portrayal of Sesto in Handel’s Giulio Cesare under Alan Curtis, marking the beginning of an outstanding international trajectory.

The 2025/2026 season further consolidates her position among the most sought-after artists of her generation, with a series of high-profile engagements. Highlights include Haydn’s Die Jahreszeiten with Ádám Fischer and the Royal Danish Chamber Orchestra in Malmö and Vienna; Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla; Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Rome under the musical direction of Michele Mariotti in a staging by Romeo Castellucci; an extensive European tour of the same work with Emmanuelle Haïm and Le Concert d’Astrée (Paris, Lyon, Aix-en-Provence, Barcelona and Madrid); Mozart’s Requiem with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic conducted by Kazuki Yamada, and again at the Salzburg Festival with Capella Cracoviensis under Christina Pluhar.

Renowned for the elegance of her vocal artistry and her stylistic versatility, Emőke Baráth commands a wide-ranging repertoire, from early baroque to 20th-century works, and collaborates regularly with some of the most distinguished conductors and ensembles worldwide. Her interpretations include La Musica and Euridice in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo (Iván Fischer, Emiliano González Toro); Romilda in Cavalli’s Xerse (Emmanuelle Haïm); the title role in Cavalli’s Hipermestra (William Christie); Morgana in Handel’s Alcina (Ottavio Dantone, Emmanuelle Haïm); Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro (Marc Minkowski); Poulenc’s Stabat Mater and Gloria (Bernard Têtu, Bertrand de Billy), and the Angel in Messiaen’s Saint François d’Assise (Sylvain Cambreling).

Her extensive discography reflects both artistic curiosity and excellence, with recordings for Erato-Warner Classics, Naïve, Alpha Classics, CPO, Glossa and Hungaroton. An exclusive artist with Erato-Warner Classics, she released her debut solo album Voglio Cantar in 2019, devoted to the finest repertoire of the Seicento. Her critically acclaimed album Dualità, featuring Handel arias conducted by Philippe Jaroussky, was released in 2022.
